Sometimes work that is inspired by brilliant literature, brilliant literaries is itself brilliant. As is the case with Michael Cunningham's The Hours, inspired by Virigina Woolf, it imagines her as she writes Mrs Dalloway, a woman reading her work in the wake of WW2 and a woman, many years later whose life is tied to the love of literature.
